C.S Lewis Doodle is one of the best – if not the only – YouTube channel for visualising the writings of C.S Lewis. Each video rests more on the rare art of artistic exposition, than on an entertaining artistic expression of Lewis’ thought, and they work.
Powered by the voice of narrator, Ralph Cosham, the artistry and attention to detail which goes into producing these short videos are of an indisputable, very high quality. They are useful as a visual-aid, helping to unpack the depth of meaning, intent and context of selected material from Lewis’ many works.
I had recommended these just over a year ago and I am more than happy to do so again.
Kalman Kingsley, is the chief illustrator and has added some new material since then. So, if you’ve got a few minutes spare, they’re well worth your time.

I am NOT an artist, that is where my husband excels. When I see someone else’s artistic pursuits, I am inspired.

I’m keen to see more of Frank’s work. The one’s I have seen are excellent. My art is amateurish at best. Professionally, I was thrown into retail management at an early age. I was raised in what Americans would call ‘the projects’; Government issued housing commission estates. So, I didn’t have a lot of opportunity to explore and develop my gifts and talents, in order to be able to earn a living from them. In a sense, the blog is my sketch pad. Growing up, we’re not taught to thrive. We’re taught the basics and the #1 goal of that education is survival; to not stay in the welfare cycle, where so many chose to stay and still are today.
(As a side note: It is somewhat of an unspoken rule in Australia, that unless you’re into sport, don’t try to rise above the rest, or else.” Commonly known as ‘tall-poppy syndrome.’ ).

Awesome. I’ll stop by and have a closer look. I committed to doing a double degree in ministry and theology, that’s what drew me out of retail. I also had reached a point where stress was becoming too much of a problem. I was losing my focus on my family and slowly allowing the business to devour my identity in Christ. As far as my story goes, I’ve had to learn to hold back a bit because it seems to overwhelm people, a lot. I’m still working on how best to communicate it. Of course, this is only 1 event among many, but it illustrates the overall issues. (I’ve tried not to be dramatic.)
In the end, I only have because God gives. Without Jesus Christ, I would be lost in nothingness.
