Poignant.
Arendt, citing Georges Clemenceau in The Origins of Totalitarianism. (1968, p.114)
"Men have been found to resist the most powerful monarchs & refuse to bow down before them but few have been found to resist the crowd, to stand up alone before misguided masses, to face their implacable frenzy without weapons to dare a no when a yes is demanded."

The left has been very successful with its resistance bullying crowd. Predict republicans will do surprisingly well in congressional races as a counter reaction disgusted with identity politics with moderates and independents moving republican in just enough numbers to help republican candidates. The mob marching from Central America through Mexico is perfect for republican effort as the socialist democrats are preaching open borders and medicare for all entrants , illegal or not.
