Christian Cover-up Culture

Slap on a scripture,

Dress the pig up like a princess.

Put up with lies on the stage,

because qualifications for ministry are now charm and charisma

Misconstrue turn the other cheek,

It’s now “turn a blind eye.”

While smiles and high-fives,

Leave behind a trail of trauma.

I won’t participate in Christian cover-up culture.

Blackmail the family.

“Stay silent about the sins, or you’ll suffer a worse fate.”

“Sideline the wounded; it was just “him being him, you need to get over it.”

Whitewash the cheap grace and laugh along with his nature.

I still won’t participate in Christian cover-up culture.

Pat yourself on the back while causing more trauma, then continue to scream the words “pride” and “repent!”

Throw up cherry-picked scriptures to defend the illusion.

But note this well: you’re only farming chaos and strong-arming a false resolution.

I know you’ll then say, “It’s all about me, and not the offender!”

Then demand I make peace, saying why can’t you just monkey along with the pretender?

Sugarcoat the sophistry: “Any boundary that binds him is the persecution of Christ.”

So, all the sycophants sing: “We don’t need your discernment. Taste and see, he’s the 2nd incarnate. All innocent. Anointed!”

“Do as we say, or lose everything!”

Be that as it may: I WILL choose Christ over Christian cover-up culture.
